During this course, you will learn how to communicate effectively as a workplace leader and lead effective workplace relationships and team effectiveness. The course will also teach you how to promote innovation in a team environment, develop work priorities, and write complex documents.

Assessment Methods: The learners progress will be assessed via CNSW’s Assessment Suite, which includes a combination of
- Written knowledge assessments
- Projects
- Tasks based on simulated scenarios and case studies
- Observation via demonstration or role play
What are the entry requirements?
For domestic students, there are no prerequisites required to enrol in the BSB40520 Certificate IV in Leadership and Management course. However, it is preferred that students:
- Are 18 years of age or older
- Have sound language and literacy skills (at least Year 10 English, or equivalent; applicants who do not hold a minimum qualification of Certificate III or above from an Australian institution, or an IELTS total band score of at least 6.0 or its equivalent, will be required to complete a Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) assessment*)
- Have basic computer skills
*Students who fail the LLN assessment may still be enrolled to the course if endorsed by the trainer/assessor, and corresponding additional support strategies are in place.
For international students, the following entry requirements are needed:
- International students must hold a current Student Visa
- International students from non-English-speaking backgrounds are required to provide any one of the following evidence of Advanced proficiency in English: IELTS total band score of at least 6.0 with no band less than 5.5 or equivalent; Occupational English Test (OET), TOEFL iBT, Pearson Test of English, and Cambridge English: Advanced with scores equivalent to IELTS 6.0 and no less than 5.5 in each band (please see table below for reference)

What are the resources needed to complete the course?
To support you in your training, College of New South Wales will provide access to relevant equipment and facilities, including:
- Relevant workplace documentation and resources, such as organisational policies and procedures, budgets, and procurement documentation
- Relevant legislation, regulations, standards, and codes
- Learner Guides and Assessment Workbook
- Benchmarks for work group productivity and performance
- Helpful resources, such as organisational style guides
- A simulated environment set up in one of the classroom facilities
- Case studies and, where available, real situations
During your course, you will need to have access to:
- Computer with Internet access through Google Chrome, MS Word and PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat Reader
- Video recording equipment (e.g. mobile phone or video recorder) to record role-play activities and presentations
- At least three people to participate in various assessment activities, including meetings, role plays, and providing feedback
What are the course fees?
The course tuition fee for the Certificate IV in Leadership and Management course is $7,999.
Course payments are made following the schedule below:
- $1,500 deposit upon enrolment (Included $200 enrolment fee and $150 material fee)
- Within two weeks after the commencement day: $6,849.00 tuition fee
